endless waves

About the founders

The people behind the waves.

Endless Waves was started by two people who think everyone should get the chance to enjoy riding or just playing in the waves: one who has spent a lifetime riding them, and one who understands exactly how they work.

Shaun Holmes

Co-founder and CEO

Shaun has been on the water his whole life. He spent more than ten years competing at the very top of his sport and is a former wave ski world champion.

He then founded West Country Water Park and ran it for five years, so he knows what it takes to welcome people onto the water, keep them safe and give them a day they'll want to repeat. At Endless Waves he leads the business and works with the landowners, venues and partners who'll help bring waves to new places.

Harrison Parker

Co-founder and CTO

Harrison is a physicist. He has an MSc in Physics from the University of Southampton, where he specialised in wave physics and in building computer models of how complex physical systems behave.

He's just as happy with CAD and hands-on engineering as he is with equations, which is exactly the mix it takes to design a new kind of wave maker. Before Endless Waves he was technical lead at West Country Water Park, and he has engineering experience from an internship at Bouygues Construction.

Why we started

One knows waves. One knows how they work.

Shaun and Harrison worked together at West Country Water Park before starting Endless Waves. They saw how much people loved being out on the water, and how few of them ever got to stand up on a real wave.

So they set out to change that, with mobile wave makers that come to water that's already there and leave nothing permanent behind. Their aim is simple: a wave within reach of everyone, and your first one free.
